Job Summary:

CORE Geomatics, a leading geomatics firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oilfield Survey Crew Chief to join our team. As a key member of our survey crew, you will be responsible for leading a team of survey assistants and overseeing the survey of wellsites, pipeline right-of-ways, pipeline integrity, and construction projects throughout Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of survey assistants in the field, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection and surveying.
  • Oversee the survey of wellsites, pipeline right-of-ways, pipeline integrity, and construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective survey plans and strategies to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to survey assistants, promoting professional development and growth.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate field notes, records, and calculations, ensuring data integrity and quality.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading a survey crew.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, internal stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong technical skills, with experience in geomatics and surveying, including the Alberta Township System.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience working on industrial construction sites and remote bush conditions, with a strong ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Experience with drones is an asset.
