CORE Geomatics, a leading geomatics firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oilfield Survey Crew Chief to join our team. As a key member of our survey crew, you will be responsible for leading a team of survey assistants and overseeing the survey of wellsites, pipeline right-of-ways, pipeline integrity, and construction projects throughout Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of survey assistants in the field, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection and surveying.
- Oversee the survey of wellsites, pipeline right-of-ways, pipeline integrity, and construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement effective survey plans and strategies to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to survey assistants, promoting professional development and growth.
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate field notes, records, and calculations, ensuring data integrity and quality.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading a survey crew.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, internal stakeholders, and team members.
- Strong technical skills, with experience in geomatics and surveying, including the Alberta Township System.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Experience working on industrial construction sites and remote bush conditions, with a strong ability to adapt to changing environments.
- Experience with drones is an asset.
