Equipment Maintenance Technician

Onsemi is seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the assembly and test operations. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment and systems are running efficiently and at optimal capacity to meet manufacturing demands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform equipment maintenance, including tools used in assembly of Electronic Modules, such as Pick and Place tools, Furnaces, Ovens, Inspection stations, lithography tools, wet benches, Encapsulation, Saw and Final Test.
  • Maintain high equipment uptime and plan and perform preventative maintenance and calibration activities on time.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring/unscheduled downtime and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Support new installations and implementation of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) concepts and create daily reports of work carried out.
  • Manage BOM (Bill of Materials) and champion safety, quality, and job performance.
  • Post-secondary education with a technician diploma and minimum 2 years' experience in equipment maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, ability to communicate clearly, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated good judgment and ability to make decisions under pressure and flexible to work variable shifts based on business and training needs.

This role requires semiconductor clean room, health and safety, and chemical handling skills.
