About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Folk Dance Teacher to join our team at Folk Star Arts Academy Society. As a Folk Dance Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching traditional folk dances to students of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction: Develop and deliver engaging and informative dance classes, workshops, and performances that showcase traditional folk dances.
  • Student Preparation: Prepare students for auditions and performances by providing guidance on dance techniques, artistic interpretation, and stage presence.
  • Performance and Rehearsal: Perform dances and rehearse with students to ensure a high level of technical proficiency and artistic expression.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with our team to develop and implement dance curricula that align with our academy's mission and values.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in teaching traditional folk dances or a related field.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Work Setting: Cultural events, dance academies, or schools.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Creativity, positive attitude, and willingness to travel.
