The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Personal Support Worker Lead - Quality Assurance. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our residents receive high-quality care in accordance with our organization's vision, mission, and values. You will lead a team of Personal Support Workers and work closely with other disciplines to ensure that our care delivery team operates effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Personal Support Workers to deliver high-quality care to our residents
  • Develop and implement quality standards in accordance with MOHLTC regulations and standards
  • Mentor and coach Personal Support Workers to improve their performance and identify areas for development
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective communication and teamwork among staff
  • Ensure that our residents receive person-centered care and that their needs are met in a timely manner
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of Personal Support Workers and make recommendations for improvement
  • Contribute to the planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and learning resources for residents, family, and team members

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Long-Term Care or equivalent working in a related position (i.e. PSW, Nursing)
  • Previous experience implementing quality standards in a health care setting would be an asset
  • Previous supervisory, coaching, mentoring and training experience
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency with the classification process and the funding indicators
  • Clinical knowledge and skill in gerontological nursing
  • Knowledge of MOHLTC regulations and standards
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills required

Working Conditions:
