About the Job:

Groupe Fabmec is seeking a skilled Millwright Technician to join our team. As a Millwright Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment
  • Construct foundations for machinery
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
  • Install machinery and equipment
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications

Requirements:

  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
  • Hoisting and Rigging Training
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW) and Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) skills
  • Experience with conveyor systems, gas and air dryers, gas compressors, hydraulic systems, industrial and stationary engines, monorails, power transmission systems, pumps and compressors, and welding equipment
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments, and to handle heavy loads
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
