Key Responsibilities- Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
- Process Payments: Handle cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and ensure all transactions are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning the counter area.
- Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Verify Customer Age: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products, and ensure all sales are made in accordance with company policies.
- Work Term and Hours: This is a permanent position with a standard 40-hour workweek.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of retail sales experience.
