**Role Summary**

This role is an exciting opportunity to join our Process Plant Operations Department as a Senior Control Systems Engineer. You will be responsible for leading a team of control and automation experts, owning technical hardware and software issues, and collaborating with site IT department.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements, ensuring efficient and effective operation of our process plant.

You will work closely with our Optimization Superintendent and other stakeholders to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in process control and automation, with experience in mineral processing and a proven track record of delivering results-oriented solutions.

**Responsibilities**

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of control and automation experts to drive process improvement initiatives;
  • Owning technical hardware and software issues related to process control and automation systems;
  • Collaborating with site IT department to ensure reliable operation and maintenance of the process plant automation network;
  • Providing process control and PLC hands-on expertise to assist operations, maintenance, and technical personnel;
  • Developing and maintaining training material and SOPs.

**Requirements**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Engineering with a specialization in Process Control and Automation;
  • Minimum three years' experience as a Process Control Engineer in mineral processing;
  • Hands-on expertise in VPO, PLC programming, and equipment startup;
  • Expertise in Ethernet communication and SCADA programming;
  • Expertise with field instrumentation and motor control configurations.
