About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing site investigations, analyzing geotechnical data, and preparing technical reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct geotechnical site investigations and analyze data to identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Prepare and review technical reports, including geotechnical site investigation reports and design documents
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure technical quality and compliance with project objectives
  • Travel to project sites within Canada and occasionally overseas to conduct site investigations and provide technical support

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mining Engineering, Technical Geology, or Civil Engineering with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in geotechnical engineering
  • Strong academic background and solid understanding of soil mechanics
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills, technical-writing experience, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well on a team and travel to project sites
