Occupational Therapist for Driver Rehabilitation and Community Programs

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Victoria and surrounding areas. As a key member of our Driver Rehabilitation Program and Community OT Return to Function and Return to Work programs, you will be working with a diverse group of funders to assist clients with a range of limitations arising from concussion/brain injury, CVA, anxiety/PTSD, and physical issues.
The successful candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. You will use your expertise to deliver functional driving evaluations, vehicle modification evaluations, and driver rehabilitation programs, while also liaising with healthcare teams, vehicle modification vendors, and payer representatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional driving evaluations and vehicle modification evaluations
- Develop and implement driver rehabilitation programs
- Liaise with healthcare teams, vehicle modification vendors, and payer representatives
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve program goals
- Continuously improve practice through professional development and learning
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience addressing driving-related limitations with clients as part of an overall caseload
- Minimum 1 year experience working with individuals who have physical, mental health, or brain injuries, or any combination thereof
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable vehicle to use for clinical appointments
- Experience working with agency payers is a strong asset
- Commitment to continuous learning through professional development courses
- Current membership with COTBC or eligible for registration
