Job Title: Telecommunications Rigger

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Rigger to join our team at Canadian Network Installations. As a Telecommunications Rigger, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, testing equipment to locate transmission faults, and completing and maintaining test and service reports.

Work Environment

Our Telecommunications Rigger will work outdoors, at heights, and in various locations, including installation, maintenance, and repair settings. You will be required to climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures, and splice, join, and connect wires.

Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
  • Test equipment to locate transmission faults
  • Install trunking systems, circuits, and equipment
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports
  • Determine nature, cause, and location of trouble
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures
  • Splice, join, and connect wires
  • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment
