Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our Application Development team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of application systems across all technologies and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to develop precise steps and processing logic across all platforms, ensuring the designed specifications achieve business needs.
  • Solution Design: Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities, understanding business requirements and translating them into system and application design that is aligned with our technology roadmap.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the solution lead and interface with project teams, driving and moderating design review sessions to ensure the overall design aligns with business requirements and architectural directions.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE, Spring/Springboot, Web Services (SOAP, JSON and RESTful). Proven and solid hands-on experience of a minimum of 4+ years in Microservices architecture platforms, SOAP, XML, JSON and RESTful web services, SQL, Test Driven Development (TDD), writing Unit Test.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Technical discipline.
