The Associate Product Owner (Intern/Coop Student) for RBC Insurance plays a pivotal role in our team's success. As an intern, you will assist our Product Owners in developing, designing, and refining a comprehensive and industry-leading digital product experience, ensuring alignment with our business goals and user needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in requirement gathering and sign-off, ensuring well-documented approval for product features.
  • Collaborate with key business partners and stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, etc.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in digital product design.
  • Inform the program/feature backlog, including non-functional requirements, to accelerate team learning and achieve expected outcomes.
  • Assist in planning the product backlog on an agile release train or release backlog for a group of autonomous/dependent teams.
  • Evaluate business value achieved versus planned for the product to communicate to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure adoption and buy-in for new product rollouts.
Requirements
  • Working towards a Bachelor or Masters degree in Finance, Technology, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong personal skills and ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
