This role involves product qualification and compliance with various electrical standards and protocol specifications in a lab setting. As a member of our R&D team developing high-speed, mixed-signal IP designs, we seek an experienced engineer with theoretical knowledge and practical experience to contribute to the silicon validation lab team. Our state-of-the-art R&D test lab features advanced equipment such as Bit Error Rate Testers, Real Time Oscilloscopes, Sampling Scopes, Vector Network Analyzers, and Time Domain Reflectometers.

Duties:
  1. We are looking for a cross-functional design team member who can collaborate with analog designers, systems designers, application engineers, and customers to resolve problems and demonstrate product performance.
  2. The ideal candidate will examine circuit behavior and its limitations in a characterization and/or silicon validation environment.
  3. You will be responsible for testing the product against target standards and specifications.
  4. Research and specify test equipment and components to support defined test plans and methodologies.
  5. Create detailed test reports.
  6. Develop test boards and hardware solutions to support product validation.
  7. Debug electronic circuits; investigate product non-conformance.
Required Qualifications:
  1. 5+ years of relevant experience (post-silicon validation, lab instrumentation, characterization, and debug).
  2. A Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required.
  3. Prior experience working in a lab environment is preferred.
  4. Solid Analog and Mixed-Signal circuit knowledge is essential.
  5. Proficiency in software programming is necessary.
  6. Expertise and experience programming with MATLAB and/or Python is beneficial.
  7. Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills are required.
Additional Skills:
  1. Familiarity with IC Test and Validation of Mixed Signal, ADC/DAC, and SerDes test circuits is a plus.
  2. PCB design knowledge is advantageous.
  3. Signal Integrity/Power Integrity knowledge is desired.
  4. Experience with tools for schematic entry and SPICE simulation is helpful.
  5. Data review and data mining skills are beneficial.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $140,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
