About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Banquet Server to join our team at Borgata Event Centre by Avani. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Service: Prepare and serve specialty food at customers' tables, ensuring prompt and attentive service.
  • Menu Knowledge: Describe menu items, including daily specials, to customers, making recommendations and answering questions regarding food and beverages.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware, performing sensory evaluation of wines as needed.
  • Communication: Greet patrons, present menus, take orders, and relay to kitchen and bar staff, ensuring seamless service.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced dining environment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
