Role Summary

As a Data Science Consultant at Project X Ltd., you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, processing, and modeling to drive business solutions for our clients. Using your computer science, statistics, and mathematics skills, you will interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate in requirements gathering, analysis, project planning, and solutions design to ensure seamless delivery.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business growth.
  3. Develop and optimize machine learning models using various techniques and frameworks.
  4. Improve data collection procedures and pipelines to ensure data integrity and quality.
  5. Productionalize data models with feedback loops to automate refinement and improve model performance over time.
  6. Contribute to project planning to establish realistic workload expectations and schedules.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying new knowledge to drive innovation and excellence.
Requirements
  1. 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Data Science.
  2. Strong Python and SQL development skills.
  3. Experience with machine learning and data science libraries in Python, including NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and Jupyter/Colab.
  4. Understanding of deep learning frameworks such as Keras, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
  5. Experience with NLP frameworks/libraries, including Gensim and SpaCy.
  6. Experience building NLP and NLU models with state-of-the-art algorithms, such as BERT and Transformer.
  7. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or related field.
  8. Critical thinking capabilities and a consultative mindset.
Nice to Have
  1. Experience with testing automation is an asset.
  2. Knowledge of cloud technology, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
