We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Lawtons Pharm in Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations.
About the Role
This is a full-time position with a competitive total compensation package that includes a salary of approximately $50,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience. You will be responsible for conducting authorized duties as imposed by individual Provincial Pharmacy Regulatory Bodies, including receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners, ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic, and transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies.
Responsibilities
• Prepare, process, and compound prescriptions, including verifying accuracy and completeness
• Conduct injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions
• Ensure the accuracy of prepared prescriptions and confirm the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Requirements
• Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification program
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with pharmacy software and technology
