Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with physical, emotional, or cognitive disabilities to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing occupational therapy interventions to help individuals with disabilities to develop, recover, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and work. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy interventions to help patients develop, recover, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and work.
  • Work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a hospital or community setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
