About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team at Kingsway DPO. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough dental cleanings to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth
  • Take dental x-rays and assist with other diagnostic procedures as needed
  • Conduct comprehensive oral examinations to assess the overall oral health of patients
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for maintaining good oral health
  • Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments as necessary
  • Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and ensuring patient comfort
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical documentation and treatment plans
  • Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
  • Stay up to date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
Requirements
  • Valid Dental Hygiene license in Ontario
  • Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
  • Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options
  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures
  • Experience working in a dental office setting preferred
  • Familiarity with CAD software, medical imaging systems, and patient assessment tools is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on oral health practices effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Commitment to following infection control protocols and maintaining a safe working environment
