Nouryon is a global leader in specialty chemicals, and we are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a HSE Manager. This role will be responsible for implementing policies, procedures, and actions at our Magog Quebec Canada site that meet both regulatory and Nouryon standards for: Health, Safety (people and process), Security, and Environment (including Sustainability). The position will have a primary focus on Health and Safety compliance and injury prevention for the site.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of 5 years in a coordinator position in an industrial or chemical environment, and mastery of laws and regulations regarding health, safety, and environment. They will also have familiarity with the behavior-based safety system BBS, knowledge of ISO 14001 and RC 14000 standards, and proficiency in technological tools such as Microsoft Office. In addition, they should hold a certificate or Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety and/or environment.
As a HSE Manager, you will contribute to the implementation of the organization's strategic plan within your plant, support plant management in the application of the health, safety, security, and environmental strategy, and coordinate prevention activities to ensure compliance with applicable general regulatory requirements and those of the company.
This is a permanent position on a full-time basis at the Magog, QC. site.
