Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver - Over the Road
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Payless Truck Repair & Parts Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a straight or articulated truck to transport goods and materials across international routes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
- Air Brakes Endorsement
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Efficient interpersonal skills

- Team player
Work Environment: On the road job, 40 hours per week, permanent position.
