Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Professional to join our team at the Ontario Clean Water Agency. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing environmental compliance programs, process control programs, and health and safety requirements for water and wastewater treatment processes in the Northeastern Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement environmental compliance programs, process control programs, and health and safety requirements for water and wastewater treatment processes in the Northeastern Region.
  • Analyze data, monitor local performance against legal requirements and corporate goals, and resolve compliance issues.
  • Conduct internal audits, respond to findings, participate in inspections, and make recommendations to assigned facilities.
  • Provide technical compliance advice to internal and external contacts and facilitate in-house training to operations staff.
  • Prepare written technical letters, reports, procedures, and other documents.
Requirements
  • Class 3 certification in Water Treatment and Class 3 in Wastewater Treatment.
  • Post-secondary education in an environmental discipline or field knowledge.
  • Valid Class G driver's license.
  • Bilingual in English and French language.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning, and scheduling skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of database functions and maintenance programs.
