The RoleAs a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will provide accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting.
You will contribute to patient well-being and better health outcomes through accuracy, quality, efficiency, and expediting test results.
Our facilities are teaching laboratories offering opportunities to share knowledge in a collaborative environment.
You will have 24-hour medical support and the ability to teach college and university student placements.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.
- Preparing and processing samples with accurate labeling and documentation.
- Performing, interpreting, and releasing results while ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
- Identifying incidents and non-conformities, participating in corrective action plans, escalating as appropriate, and driving continuous improvement.
- Assisting with technology evaluation and implementation.
- Participating in problem-solving work organization and workflow.
- Adhering to laboratory safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
We seek individuals with a College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent education and experience.
Candidates must be CMLTO registered and in good standing.
We value excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and computer proficiency in MS Office products and laboratory analyzers.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain strict standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality are essential.
