About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team at A S JOHAL RENOVATIONS LTD. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints to create smooth, even surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply coats of plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering, including removing old plaster and debris
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency and apply them to surfaces using a trowel or spray gun
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry, ensuring a smooth finish
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Estimate costs and materials for plastering projects
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to access areas that require plastering
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand plastering requirements

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
