About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Food Service Site Director to lead our foodservices, housekeeping, and resident laundry operations in a multi-service environment that includes Long Term Care, Daily Assisted Living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, administer, and direct all unit activities related to food and facilities service.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified experience for patients, residents, visitors, and employees.
  • Interact with Client Management and maintain effective client and customer relations at all levels of client organization, including conducting rounding.
  • Identify Aramark service expansion opportunities.
  • Provide overall direction and manage performance for all Food Service Supervisors and front-line employees, ensuring employee development, engagement, and compliance with human resource-related policies and standards.
  • Direct, staff, and train food service department regarding food presentation, quality, cost control, and cash handling.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Food Service & Nutrition Management is an asset.
  • Requires 5+ years of progressive experience managing operations with $1 - $2 million financial and operational responsibility. Multi-service experience would be considered an asset.
  • Healthcare Food Service management, Environmental, Facility engineering role in large complex site preferred.
  • Familiarity with PIDAC (Provincial Infectious Disease Advisory Committee) is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, and support staff.
  • P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable.
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary range for this position is between $90,000-$120,000, based on industry standards and market conditions.
