Dental Hygienist Position in Public Health

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our Public Health department in Northern Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide dental health prevention and promotion services for communities and populations in our region.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and treat clients, using clinical and diagnostic reasoning to provide effective interventions.
Teach clients and others, both one-on-one and in groups, to promote healthy habits and behaviors.
Integrate best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams, using verbal and written communication means.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Dental Hygiene from the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals.
Current registration and licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the Province of British Columbia.
Minimum one (1) year recent, related dental hygiene experience, including experience in a community health organization or the equivalent working with children, youth, and their families.
Current valid BC driver's license and use of personal vehicle for business use.
