We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Labourer - Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Webber. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and repair of our roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, and vegetation.


Key Responsibilities

Winter Season

  • Operate snow removal equipment to clear roadways and maintain safe travel conditions.

Summer Season

  • Maintain and repair highway surfaces, including signs, guardrails, fences, lighting, potholes, striping, and reflectors.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment as required for surface and right-of-way maintenance and repair.
  • Control vegetation growth and appearance.

As Required

  • Set up and remove traffic control measures.
  • Transport crew and equipment to work sites.
  • Be available for emergency response and overtime as needed.
  • Travel to various locations as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-year work experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial/industrial repair, maintenance, or landscaping.
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Successful completion of training in traffic control methods, first aid, transportation of dangerous goods, WHMIS, and job-related aspects of Occupational Health.
Work Environment

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk on various surfaces, use hands to handle tools, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment. Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely exposed to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles. Frequent exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, frequent exposure to insects, and infrequent exposure to reptiles/rodents. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be more than moderate at times.
