Job Description

Our company, Recruiting For Less, is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a dynamic and forward-thinking organization, we specialize in cooling technologies for the food and beverage industries and are dedicated to revolutionizing the Scrape Surface Heat Exchanger landscape.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing new customer orders from purchase order approval to successful installation at the customer site. This will involve collaborating closely with our sales, engineering, finance, and manufacturing teams to facilitate project kick-off meetings for all new customer purchases, existing customer expansion, and new units initiated through our Research & Development team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Scheduling: Manage and coordinate all project manufacturing schedules, including service packages.
  2. Project Coordination: Coordinate with different departments to ensure timely delivery of projects (units manufactured, shipped, commissioned/installed, and factory acceptance tested).
  3. Project Planning: Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  4. Project Monitoring: Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and develop mitigation plans.
  5. Project Delivery: Ensure that all project objectives are met, including quality standards, delivery timelines, and budget constraints.
  6. Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal & external stakeholders to establish, manage & meet their expectations.
  7. Issue Resolution: Proactively identify issues/roadblocks and be solution-oriented.
  8. Process Improvement: Incorporate learnings & insights into process improvements.
  9. Reporting: Prepare regular project status reports for the leadership team.
  10. Logistics: Coordinate shipment of units to customers.
  11. Support: Cross-trained for back-up support for customer quotations.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  1. Communication Skills: Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  2. Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  3. Education: University Degree (STEM).
  4. Project Experience: Project coordination or management experience in a technical or engineering environment is an asset.
  5. Certification: PMP or equivalent certification or enrolled in a program.
  6. Complex Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  7. Project Management Tools: Experience with project management tools and software, as well as MS Office proficiency.
  8. Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of (food) process equipment or refrigeration equipment is an asset.
  9. Project Scheduling: Track record of developing, managing, and meeting project schedules with multiple stakeholders.
  10. Dynamic Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  11. Experience: 2+ Years of successfully demonstrated project coordination/management.
