Service Technician: Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Brandt is seeking a Service Technician in Edson and surrounding areas, reporting to the Edmonton Construction & Forestry branch. This position involves repairing and maintaining construction and forestry equipment and attachments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate equipment working condition, diagnose issues, assemble/disassemble, order parts, and repair heavy-duty machinery.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Operate related instruments, hand tools, power tools, and computer systems.
  • Document work orders with machine information, actions taken, and time spent.
  • Assess service task hazards and perform work safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate parts using catalogs and order from parts personnel.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as needed.
Required Skills
  • Must be able to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor control.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Experience
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade is preferred.
  • Must be committed to customer service and service excellence.
  • Must be able to meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor control.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
