Store Manager Job Description

Swimco, a leading swimwear retailer in Canada, is expanding its presence with the opening of a new store location in Vancouver Park Royal. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to help drive sales growth and deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth by effectively utilizing available resources and maximizing business opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing direction to sales associates to achieve or exceed sales budgets while prioritizing customer service and product knowledge.
  • Maintain a visually appealing store environment that reflects company directives and standards.
  • Create effective succession plans, recruit and train high-performing teams, and minimize turnover.
  • Collaborate with District Managers to develop action plans and achieve objectives in a fast-paced selling environment.
  • Take ownership of training and execution in-store across all areas, including business, operations, sales/customer service, and visual merchandising.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3-5 years retail store management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proven ability to train and develop high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in technology systems, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and time management skills.
  • Results-driven attitude and flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Recruit, hire, and train future management candidates.
