Job Summary:

  • To provide exceptional nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician orders, and within the scope of practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Utilize sound nursing principles to ensure excellent care and personal attention in the assigned areas.
  • Ensure timely admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers/discharges.

Responsibilities:

  1. Nursing Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
  2. Maintenance of Safe Environment: Ensure the safe storage and dispensation of medications, narcotics, and other substances.

Requirements:

  1. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent degree.
  2. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  3. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  5. Ability to work effectively and compassionately with others.
  6. Familiarity with relevant legislation, including the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  7. Medical clearance, including TB tests, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and a clear Criminal Record check.
  8. Proof of vaccination, adherence to COVID-19 prevention protocols, and wearing a mask at all times.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to 120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
