We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Heartland Childcare. As a key member of our program development team, you will play a vital role in creating engaging and educational programs for children aged 0-12 years.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position working 35 hours per week. You will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that meet the unique needs and interests of each child.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts that promote learning and development.
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years of experience in early childhood education with a focus on program development.
  • A high school diploma and completion of the ECE Level 1 certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
