We are seeking a highly skilled auto body technician to join our team at Imperial Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd. As an auto body technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining the exterior of trucks and trailers.

About the Job

This is a permanent full-time position with a salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work 35-40 hours per week in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Cleaning and maintaining the workspace to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Replacing front end components, body components, doors, and frame underbody components.
  • Filing, grinding, and sanding body surfaces to be repaired.
  • Masking and taping auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • Hammering out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers.
  • Removing damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and bolting or welding replacement parts into place.
  • Applying primers and repainting surfaces.
  • Repairing or replacing interior components.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
  • Mixing paint, blending, and matching colors.
  • Operating soldering equipment or using plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
  • Straightening bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.

Successful candidates will have excellent attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as an auto body technician.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability.
