Cenovus, an integrated energy company headquartered in Calgary, is seeking a highly skilled Staff Operations Engineer to join its conventional business team. As a key member of the Conventional Operations Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of base asset strategies to maximize value.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operations, facility, and production engineering, with a strong understanding of frequently used codes (ASME B31.3, CSA Z662, etc.). They must also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence multi-disciplinary teams, including Field Operations.

As a Staff Operations Engineer at Cenovus, you will play a critical role in driving business performance and safety outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing base asset strategies to maximize value
  • Providing technical infrastructure, design, and process engineering support to operations
  • Performing wellbore troubleshooting and overseeing interventions required to support wellbore optimization

To succeed in this role, you must have a Professional Engineer designation sanctioned by APEGA, with the ability to authenticate mechanical engineering deliverables. You should also possess a strong working knowledge of upstream oil and gas industry and facility design.
