About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Roofer to join our team at Flynn Canada Ltd. As an Apprentice Roofer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of roofing projects, including installing and repairing built-up roofing systems, single-ply roofing systems, and metal roofs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair roofing systems using various materials, including asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel.
  • Install and replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and shakes, as well as masonry or baked clay roofing tiles.
  • Repair and replace single-ply roofing systems.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on roofing techniques and best practices.
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
Work Environment

As an Apprentice Roofer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work at heights, and be exposed to noisy and dangerous conditions. You will also be required to work outdoors in various locations, including commercial and industrial settings.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in the roofing industry.
  • Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance to apprentices.
