Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at McKesson Pharma Care Network Corporation / La Corporation Inviva, Reseau de soins pharmacologiques McKesson (SUCCESSOR). As a Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing professional nursing care to individuals, including the intravenous or injection administration of specialty pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough health assessments prior to treatment to identify patient needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient care and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Administer medical therapies and provide education to patients on self-administration techniques, promoting patient independence and empowerment.
  • Monitor patient health status and respond to any adverse events or concerns, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to INVIVA policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with medical therapies, products, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing with provincial college.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or 2-year Nursing Diploma.
  • 3+ years of critical care experience (i.e. ER, ICU) is an asset.
  • Experience in Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Hematology, Oncology, and Neurology is an asset.
  • Strong intravenous initiation skills, CPR certification, and ACLS/PALS certification is an asset.
  • Ability to work autonomously and proficiently, especially in emergency situations.
  • Ability to work in a computerized environment (i.e. computer, MS Office, Teams, WEBEX, email, and electronic patient records).
