About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Country Casa Montessori and Daycare Ltd. as a Child Care Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development Planning: Assess children's development to prepare personalized learning plans that cater to their unique needs.
  • Child Care and Support: Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, while also developing and implementing child-care programs that support their growth and development.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the daycare equipment is well-maintained and safe for children to use.
  • Storytelling and Engagement: Lead activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and taking children on outings to local points of interest.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping accurate records of children's progress.
  • Encouraging Creativity: Engage children in activities that promote creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Health and Hygiene: Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, while also preparing snacks and arranging rooms for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, while also attending staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, while also supervising and coordinating activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Setting: Child care centre, rural area, day care centre or nursery school.
