Student Recruitment Officer

The Student Recruitment Officer is a key member of the Fairleigh Dickinson University team, responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to achieve enrollment targets. This role requires a strong understanding of post-secondary admissions procedures and a proven ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute marketing and recruitment plans for designated markets to achieve enrollment targets.
- Maintain familiarity with designated markets, including admissions requirements, educational systems, and market attributes.
- Liaise with all departments and campuses of the University to maintain familiarity with university programs and services.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver special events and presentations to support FDU-Vancouver's marketing and recruitment initiatives.
- Travel to designated markets as necessary to represent the University at educational fairs and conferences.
- Coordinate advertising campaigns and marketing materials specific to designated markets.
- Cultivate alumni, guidance counselors, and other constituencies in designated markets to assist with the distribution of marketing materials and campaigns.
- Provide pre-admission advising and identify student needs to solve academic and/or financial issues.
- Utilize effective prospect management practices to follow up on inquiries, applications, and admitted students.
- Monitor the receipt of applications and determine the next best steps in the recruitment process for each applicant.
- Regularly update university prospect management and student information systems concerning student applicant and inquiry status.
- Provide regular reports on recruitment activities, programs, and initiatives, including inquiry, prospect, application, and deposit numbers for designated markets.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong understanding of post-secondary admissions procedures and a minimum of 1 year of experience working in the student recruitment/admissions area at a university.
- Dynamic, outgoing personality with excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
- Valid driver's license, accessibility to a car, and ability to travel locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Proficiency in English and fluency in a second language required for designated market(s).
- Canadian residency or work permit required.
