Job Summary

Amentum is now hiring a Logistics Specialist (Senior) position in support of Product Manager Force Protection Systems (PM FPS) and Product Manager Ground Sensors (PM GS).

This project will provide PM FPS and PM GS a multitude of product support activities to include spares, warehousing/kitting management, maintenance, transportation, shipping, fielding, equipment operator training, contractor equipment operators, field support representatives (FSRs), systems sustainment and design engineering, and supplier or total asset visibility management of Integrated Base Defense (IBD) and Force Protection (FP) family of systems (FOS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply government warehousing systems and processes to daily duties.
  • Apply warehousing terminology, measures, concepts, and principles.
  • Evaluate and maintain current administrative procedures ensuring audit readiness.
  • Audit completed work periodically.
  • Prepare and maintain reports.
  • Maintain accurate physical inventory and quality control.
  • Prepare shipping part numbers according to established procedures and regulations.
  • Interface with personnel or management to resolve systems and operations issues.
  • May handle hazardous materials such as batteries and generator fuel.
  • Receive incoming shipments, plan unloading and handling, reconcile goods against purchase orders and shipping documents.
  • Ensure proper identification of received goods and storage location.
  • Maintain records of received and issued items, shortages, damaged or non-conformances issues, records maintenance data, and warranties.
  • Ensure goods are properly stored, secured, protected, and maintained according to manufacturers and government standards.
  • Prepare outbound shipping documentation and instruments.
  • Maintain on-hand inventory, perform cycle counts, and verify the accuracy of physical inventory.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics.
  • Minimum 8 years compiling and optimizing logistics and maintenance information, at least 5 years using Army logistics databases and solutions.
  • Active SECRET US Government Clearance. US Citizenship is required to maintain a SECRET Clearance.
