Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in childcare and be able to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children. You will be responsible for performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children
  • Help children with homework
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, time management, patience, and honesty
Work Environment:

The work environment will be in the employer's home, and the successful candidate will be required to work independently with minimal supervision.

Security and Safety:

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a criminal record check.

Transportation/Travel Information:

Public transportation is available.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

The successful candidate will be required to perform repetitive tasks and work in a non-smoking environment.

Personal Suitability:

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, time management, patience, and honesty.
