**Job Summary**

The Route Management Trainee (RMT) training program is designed to prepare individuals to become frontline Route Managers at Waste Management. **Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase financial profitability and operational efficiency
  • Provide timely and consistent touchpoints with frontline employees
  • Partner with drivers and technicians to develop job-related skills
  • Complete assigned RMT training curriculum and other training programs
  • Actively practice and seek feedback on coaching conversations
  • Collaborate with frontline managers to learn day-to-day business operations

**Supervisory Responsibilities**

This role may have periodic leadership/management responsibilities throughout the program.

**Qualifications**

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience
  • Experience: Two (2) years relevant work experience in addition to Education requirements
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record throughout employment

**Additional Requirements**

  • Willingness to consider relocation within an assigned geographic area at the conclusion of the training program
  • Ability to work flexible start times
  • Ability to ride in a vehicle for up to 12 hours or sit at a desk for up to 12 hours per day

**Competitive Compensation Package**

The expected salary range for this position is $56,000 - $71,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. This position is eligible for quarterly incentive pay.
