Job Description

The Mountain Manager will guide, train, and lead staff in the winter operation of the facility. Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance and usage of snowmaking systems and snow grooming equipment, conducting regular safety compliance checks on outdoor equipment, and supervising winter operations staff.

The successful candidate will operate a variety of equipment including motor vehicles, snowmobiles, snowcats, tractors, ATVs, and skid steers. They will also assist with lift, carpet, and aerial park maintenance and troubleshooting.

The Mountain Manager will adhere to all regulations and safety codes and ensure outside operations adhere to company policies and procedures. They will actively participate in the health and safety program and provide first aid coverage as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should have experience in a supervisory or management position, preferably in a ski resort environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment in varying weather conditions.

Knowledge of passenger ropeways is preferred, and certification in Lift 150 Trainer, Lift 152, and 152 courses is an asset.
