Job Summary

The Greater Essex County District School Board is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Clerk to join their team. This is a full-time position that requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Nature & Scope of Position
  • Process payroll records and perform clerical tasks.
  • Import, process, and reconcile electronic timesheets.
  • Analyze pay reports and calculate salary, overtime, and retro amounts.
  • Manage payroll deductions and remittances.
  • Perform accounting duties and prepare Records of Employment.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Payroll.
Qualifications
  • 3-year community college diploma with accounting emphasis.
  • Familiarity with employment/payroll legislation within the last ten years is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of IPPS and word processing/spreadsheet applications are considered assets.
  • The Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certificate is considered an asset.
