Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team at Little Wonders Day Care. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record Management: Accurately record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars, and conferences.
  • Office Procedures: Establish and maintain effective office procedures and routines.
  • Scheduling: Schedule and confirm appointments, as well as handle telephone calls and messages.
  • Data Entry: Compile data, statistics, and other information for various reports and documents.
  • Inventory Management: Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels.
  • Filing Systems: Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems.
  • CORRESPONDENCE AND DOCUMENTATION: Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents.
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE: Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School Diploma: A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Relevant Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this position.
  • Organizational Abilities: The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position, working approximately 30-40 hours per week. You will be required to work in a fast-paced office environment with tight deadlines and varying workload demands.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000 CAD, depending on location and experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as access to professional development opportunities.
