As a key member of our property services department, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our properties. Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to follow instructions will ensure that our residents and guests receive exceptional service.
**Responsibilities**
- Clean and service restrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and stairways to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Gather and dispose of rubbish and waste materials by hand or with the use of powered equipment.
- Observe appearances and conditions of premises and equipment, reporting needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services.
- Dust surfaces using treated dust mittens, cloths, or hand-cleaning items.
- Polish furniture, metal work, and chrome using appropriate cleaning and polishing compounds.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies.
- Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirror, and fixtures using both step and extension ladders.
- Clean grounds and parking lots of litter, glass, or other debris.
- Load and unload supplies, and move heavy furniture and equipment using dollies, handcarts, or power equipment.
**Requirements**
- Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the janitorial service.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Familiarity with occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies such as floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, and cleaning compounds and solutions.
