Job Title: Comptrollership Analyst

The Central Finance Division is responsible for ensuring the Manitoba Government operates in a transparent, controlled, and compliant manner with government mandates and financial policies. As a Comptrollership Analyst, you will provide support to client departments by being the point of contact, resource, and subject matter expert in comptrollership and financial administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist department leadership with budgeting, cash flows, variance reporting, policy and legislation interpretation, and the estimates process.
  • Aid departments with fiscal responsibility and management.
  • Provide expertise in comptrollership and financial administration.
Requirements:
  • Recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) or equivalent training and experience.
  • Experience applying General Accepted Accounting Principles, with an understanding of internal control concepts and accrual accounting practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to research, analyze, and translate problems and proposals into advice and recommendations for senior management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP and PBFM or equivalent accounting/ERP software.
