Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

NA 786 Transportation Inc is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Long Haul Truck Driver to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Perform preventive maintenance and ensure vehicle is properly maintained
  • Communicate with central dispatch and relay information as needed
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license (Class 1 or A)
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and long hours
