The Assistant Operator is a vital member of the GFL Environmental team, providing critical support services for the Vacuum Truck Services Division. This role involves a diverse range of activities, including hydro excavation, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, and power washing. The successful candidate will assist with these tasks, focusing on safety, professionalism, and teamwork.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Safely operate equipment in an industrial setting, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, requiring a high level of stamina and endurance.
  • Represent GFL Environmental with professionalism and courtesy, providing exceptional service to all clients.
  • Participate in GFL's safety programs, including regular safety meetings, risk assessments, and job hazard evaluations.

**Requirements**

  • Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's License.
  • General safety knowledge, experience, and awareness.
  • H2S, Confined Space Entry, and Fall Arrest training required prior to start date.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform high labor intensity tasks in a team environment.
  • Positive, self-motivated attitude and a strong commitment to teamwork.
