About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team at 1811979 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, as well as carting and spreading topsoil and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including laying sod or seed and planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a well-manicured appearance.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure optimal growth and health.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring the ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding setting. You will be required to walk, bend, crouch, and kneel frequently, as well as have manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but you must be willing to train.
  • Availability for the advertised start date is a must.
  • You must be legally able to work in Canada.

We offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, as well as mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth. We also offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
