Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post-secondary institution. Established in 1976, it has been conferred authority to grant certificates and diplomas. Recognized under provincial legislation, the Institute welcomes over 2400 students into our urban and community programs annually as well as serving over 6000 clients through our eight Career Centers across the province.

Our ABE Programs offer an opportunity for eager students to utilize prior knowledge, engage in small class environments, while being supported by a strong sense of community. As an Instructor, you will contribute to SIIT's vision, mission, and mandate.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality instruction for 6 courses in the Adult 10 program
  • Create, maintain, and submit all course-related materials including evaluations, attendance records, and annual year plans
  • Incorporate technology advancements within instruction and administration where applicable
  • Maintain classroom discipline and recommend action to applicable supervisors regarding student behavior
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional working relationship among students, coworkers, and partners across the institution

Required Qualifications and Experience:

A Bachelor of Education from an accredited institution. Must possess a Saskatchewan teaching certificate or be eligible to obtain one. An understanding of adult learning theories and principals is considered an asset. Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations is also considered an asset.
