Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: ECE Infant/Toddler, Childcare First Aid, Food Safe.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in a licensed childcare centre with infant and toddlers.
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including excellent oral and written communication.
  • Strong knowledge and awareness of child development, BC's Early Learning Framework, and emergent curriculum approaches.
  • Knowledge of leadership strategies, group process, facilitation techniques, and team building.
  • Knowledge of supports and resources for families and children with extra support needs.
  • Knowledge of the broader childcare field and its role in the community.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and demonstrate good judgment.
  • Functional computer literacy in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Additional Skills and Experiences
  • Special Needs Certificate and License.
  • A Second Language.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
Terms of Employment
  • Permanent full-time position (37.5 hours per week).
  • Salary: $33.33 per hour plus benefits.
  • Starting: As soon as possible.
  • Location: The Mark (Toddler and 3-5 programs).
